Tim Robbins & Susan Sarandon split after 23 years holy crap!

That’s it. Cancel Christmas. There is no more love in the world. That’s the only conclusion that can be drawn from this announcement – Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbins are done! Susan’s representative alerted People Magazine in a brief statement just minutes ago. What. The. F-ck?!? Oh, and they broke up over the summer, too!

One of Hollywood’s most enduring relationships has ended – Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbins have broken up after more than two decades together, PEOPLE has learned exclusively.

“Actress Susan Sarandon and her partner of 23 years, actor Tim Robbins have announced that they separated over the summer,” her rep Teal Cannaday tells PEOPLE in a statement. “No further comments will be made.”

I seriously cannot believe this, but I have to admit, I had a split second thought of “oh, that makes sense.” Only because they haven’t been photographed for a while together, and Susan has been making all of her red carpet appearances for The Lovely Bones either solo, or with her goofy, hunky son Jack.

Jesus. They’ve been together 23 years! They have two sons together too – Jack, who is 20 years old, and Miles, who is 17 years old. So, at least they don’t have little kids, but I’m sure the boys (and Eva Amurri) are devastated.

They were my mom’s generation’s Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward. Sort of. You know what I mean! They were held up as an example of a couple who were making it work in the long haul. I’m seriously floored.

To make matters worse, there is now the added stress of a child in trouble, as they recently discovered that one of their kids has a drinking problem.” Damn, I hope that’s not them. I don’t want to think of Tim as a douchey cheater, but I feel like there might be another shoe to drop.
