Vanderpump Rules James Kennedy Dishes On Season 8 Virtual Reunion, Promises Fans It Will Be The

As season 8 of Vanderpump Rules comes to an end, star James Kennedy has revealed that the virtual cast reunion is going to be “the best” one yet. The SUR DJ says that even though cast members weren’t able to be in the same room, the virtual reunion just “worked.”

During a video chat earlier this week on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Kennedy appeared alongside his girlfriend Raquel Leviss and co-stars Tom Sandoval and Ariana Madix to dish on the upcoming reunion.

The Vanderpump Rules cast filmed the virtual reunion earlier this month, and everyone appeared from their respective homes during the COVID-19 lockdown.

Sandoval described the reunion as “great” and “amazing,” and admitted that he “loved that whole setup.” The Tom Tom co-owner said that he was impressed with how the production crew set everything up, revealing that they “brought over these TVs, everything was completely connected.”

“Yeah, I thought it was really good,” added Kennedy. “I thought that it was going to be boring in the beginning, but after it was done, I was like, ‘This is the best reunion yet.’ I just didn’t know [if] we were going to get our true emotions across the screen, but it worked.”

Before the SURvers filmed their reunion, Stassi Schroeder said in late March on her Straight Up with Stassi podcast that the reunion had been delayed because of the coronavirus pandemic. Originally, they were scheduled to tape the special episode on April 3rd.

She also revealed at the time that she “dreads” reunion day, calling it the “worst day of the year.” Schroeder explained that taping a traditional reunion episode requires a 14-hour day, and it’s filled with everyone “just rehashing sh*t.”

However, it looks like the virtual format was a much better setup and it led to even better results. Andy Cohen has also promised on his SiriusXM show Andy Cohen Live that fans should be ready for a “great reunion.”

The Vanderpump Rules Season 8 reunion is the latest Bravo special to be filmed remotely. The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 12 reunion was filmed remotely and aired last Sunday. The network also aired the remote Summer House Season 4 reunion.
